Vigilant Valkyrie’s mission statement
Vigilant Valkyrie is a Female Veteran oriented organization that was started by US Army Veteran Danae in December of 2018, with the goal of bringing awareness to the challenges Female Veterans face within and outside of the Military. Our hope for Vigilant Valkyrie is to continue to remain a place for all Veterans, however, more focused on a place for Female Veterans, to come to for support, understanding, encouragement, humor, Veteran fellowship and resources. There are many Veteran resources available and many organizations within the Veteran community. However, as a whole, there is very little specifically for the over 2 million Female Veterans. Male and Female Veterans each face different challenges and have lived different experiences within the Military and as Veterans after their active service. Vigilant Valkyrie is a place for Female Veterans to feel recognized, understood and supported.
