Valkyrie Veteran Convention – Vigilant Valkyrie

In September 2021 Vigilant Valkyrie teamed up with The Enlisted Association Ch.1 and Victory Service Dogs to put on an event in honor and recognition of the over 2 million Women Service Members. Thus, we put on the first annual Valkyrie Veteran Convention. This event also helped raise over $1,000 to provide a Female Veteran a service dog through Victory Service Dogs. We were honored to have Army Veteran Jo Miller share her story on how her passion for body building and fitness has helped improve her mental health let alone her physical health! Her story can help empower young Women today! Lani of Kruse Corner traveled from Ft. Riley, KS to share her amazing story as a Woman Warrior! Lani is a two time author, podcast host and a mother! She shared her experiences, good and bad, of her Army career, surviving Domestic Violence and what she does now in the Veteran community. Jen Housholder is a LT. Colonel still currently serving and who is a phenomenal musician. She donated her time and talent by performing at our first ever Valkyrie Veteran Convention.
This event had a number of different businesses and organizations that offered resources and support to Women Warriors. Vigilant Valkyrie provided a list of resources offered specifically to Female Veterans and adorned each table with a photo and name of a fallen Woman Warrior.
This event was absolutely amazing and provided honor, recognition and support to our countries amazing Women Service Members and Veterans of all generations. We hope to see you at next years event!
